Summary

I liked this better than volume 8， but it still wasn't jaw-dropping to me。 The series is definitely dragging out too much， but I want to finish it still。 I kinda liked seeing the presidents and spokespeople start to follow and obey Kira cause it added drama I thought could change the view of Light's goals。 The manga had action in the beginning but it turned out to be quite pointless since it didn't go as well as I thought。 I also thought some moments were just random and not needed so I give thi I liked this better than volume 8， but it still wasn't jaw-dropping to me。 The series is definitely dragging out too much， but I want to finish it still。 I kinda liked seeing the presidents and spokespeople start to follow and obey Kira cause it added drama I thought could change the view of Light's goals。 The manga had action in the beginning but it turned out to be quite pointless since it didn't go as well as I thought。 I also thought some moments were just random and not needed so I give this volume 2。5 out of 5 stars。 。。。more

this is probably one of my favourite volumes in this manga series， i wont get into to much detail as to not spoil it for any future readers， but i will say that in this volume it really starts to get into the action。 also i think N/Near is a great character， he is smarter than most adults but is quite childish， i think that contrast really makes him interesting。 （edit， if you cant tell my my pfp i really liked this series。）

⭐⭐⭐⭐½⠀Mais um volume lido de "Death Note"; dessa vez， dos capítulos 71 ao 79。Após um confronto direto entre o gângster Mello e Soichiro Yagami， chefe da polícia japonesa， algo mudará para sempre na vida de nossos protagonistas。。。Enquanto isso， Near continua suas investigações na tentativa de capturar o serial killer Kira e， aproveitando as desconfianças de Mogi e Aizawa sobre Light Yagami， N decide focar no novo L como principal suspeito。Conforme os governos de vários países decidem não interfer ⭐⭐⭐⭐½⠀Mais um volume lido de "Death Note"; dessa vez， dos capítulos 71 ao 79。Após um confronto direto entre o gângster Mello e Soichiro Yagami， chefe da polícia japonesa， algo mudará para sempre na vida de nossos protagonistas。。。Enquanto isso， Near continua suas investigações na tentativa de capturar o serial killer Kira e， aproveitando as desconfianças de Mogi e Aizawa sobre Light Yagami， N decide focar no novo L como principal suspeito。Conforme os governos de vários países decidem não interferir mais nas decisões de Kira， o mundo se divide entre pessoas que estão com medo de serem punidas pelo serial killer que consegue matá-las apenas escrevendo seus nomes em um caderno mortal e aquelas que o vêem como um grande justiceiro， sendo um Deus dessa nova sociedade utópica。Depois de um volume mediano como foi o oitavo， o nono chegou e me surpreendeu positivamente: Ohba ainda não conseguiu reproduzir 100% a dinâmica que Light e o antigo L tinham com o que ele tem com Mello e Near， mas é capaz de resgatar questões que são parte intrínseca da trama， que é o papel que a sociedade desempenha nessa história - as pessoas， os seguidores de Kira， a mídia e os ditos justiceiros são cruciais para que Light alcance seu objetivo através do genocídio （a vida imita a arte？）。 Além de filosofar sobre a sociedade， o autor também mostra， novamente， como Light é um rapaz frio， calculista e terrível， relembrando， no meio do caos e da polarização， que o grande vilão sempre foi Yagami。Já as ilustrações de Obata continuam me impressionando， trazendo fluidez para a trama principalmente em momentos de tensão e ação。 Mais do que isso， é genial como ele coloca tudo que Near está pensando e refletindo nos brinquedos do garoto - o que， ao mesmo tempo， nos lembra da idade do pequeno gênio， também serve para espelhar o que está ocorrendo na história e como ele vai transpondo suas deduções nas interações dele com seus action figures。O cerco está se fechando e a confiança de Light por ter tantos súditos pode ser a sua ruína em breve。。。 E eu mal posso esperar！Mais resenhas no instagram literário @livre_em_livros e no canal do Youtube "Livre em Livros"！ 。。。more

I’ve watched the anime multiple times but the anime just doesn’t capture Near as a character as well as it could。 I love him - his admiration for L， the way he surpasses L in many ways。 I think it’s interesting how he’s the least emotional of the 3 from Wammy， & the most successful。 My sweet Ryuzaki just wanted friends & equals - Near doesn’t seem to have that need。 In fact， he thinks the new L is reckless & even stupid！ It’s such a fun contrast between the characters that just never came across I’ve watched the anime multiple times but the anime just doesn’t capture Near as a character as well as it could。 I love him - his admiration for L， the way he surpasses L in many ways。 I think it’s interesting how he’s the least emotional of the 3 from Wammy， & the most successful。 My sweet Ryuzaki just wanted friends & equals - Near doesn’t seem to have that need。 In fact， he thinks the new L is reckless & even stupid！ It’s such a fun contrast between the characters that just never came across for me in the anime。 Definitely glad I’m finally giving this series a read :） 。。。more

I don’t really care about either of these new characters。 The first half was super gripping and hard to put down because of how intense and clever the back and forth between Light and L was， and while everything that comes after volume 7 isn’t exactly bad or boring， it isn’t half as intriguingly in my opinion
